Here is an excellent article about brotherly relationships and how to
understand our role in the matter of love. I am of the persuasion that this idea
is consistent with the love described in the Bible; God’s love for man and
ought to be man’s love for God and one another. _glclair at aol.com_

KEEPING RECORDS
One responsibility of an accountant is to maintain accurate financial
records to show what other companies owe the accountant's employer or business. If
some other company owes money to the accountant's employer and wishes to buy
more goods on credit, the accountant may first demand payment of some money
"up front." If the record shows that the customer still owes money, credit may
be denied. This is proper business practice.
Did you know that the Holy Spirit used an accounting term when describing
love? First Corinthians 13:5: {ASV} "Love does not take into account a wrong
suffered." The word logidzomai is used here, and it is a Greek word, an
accounting term. We get the word "log," meaning "record of events" from this.
Do we keep a record of wrongs done to us? Some call that a grudge. Sometimes
we deny others "credit" or love and acceptance because we have a record of
wrongs filed against them in our heart. Polynesian natives in the past would
hang their items of hatred from their huts to keep the hatred alive.
A record keeps anger, resentment, and hate alive. Child of God, you must rip
up that record. Tear up that evil testimony or the devil will eat you for
breakfast. Forgive and forget. Do not hold a record of wrongs done to you. ---
