Brethren and Friends, Jim Sasser here. A very good Monday
morning to each and everyone. May God bless you and yours.
Here is an article from my files:

GOD HAS SPOKEN

"Where there is a will, there is a way" is a likely proverb.
People who want to know God and to please God can. His
Word, the Bible, has been disseminated all over the world, and its message is
understandable (Eph. 1:18; 5:17). "If any-
once wants to do His Will, he shall know concerning the doc-
trine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own
authority," Jesus said in (Jno. 7:17). Study is necessary, as
it is in every pursuit of knowledge (2 Tim. 2:15). Those who
hunger and thirst after righteousness with a hearty appetite
will be filled (Matt. 5:6).

Also where there is a will to skirt the laws of God and still
claim to believe in Him, there is a way that people can find to
get around a teaching or commandment that they do not find
pleasing or convenient. An excellent example of such evasion is found in the
9/7/07 News Courier. The article refer-
red to tells how some modern Jews who want to be consider-
ed conservative keepers of the Law of Moses find ways to
evade keeping the Sabbath year every seventh year as com-
manded in Lev. 25:1-7. This plan of theirs does not allow the
land to enjoy its sabbath as was commanded. Finance takes
precedence over their keeping the Law. Similarly, many relig-
ious people find ways to explain away the teaching of the New Testament that
is inconvenient to their lifestyle or the
lifestyle of a friend or family member who is living in violation
of a particular teaching of Christ. If it becomes necessary to
explain away the doctrine of Christ, they find a way to do it to
the soothing of their own conscience. This is the reason that
some professed Bible believers accept divorce for every cause, immodest
dress, failure to assemble to worship God
as commanded; claims of salvation in ways contrary to the doctrine of Christ,
forms of worship unauthorized in the New
Testament, and changes in the organization and work of the
church. Too many professed Christians allow financial desir-
es to take precedence over the spiritual duties Christ has giv-
en. Too many are reshaping the structure of the family in
disregard to Christ's teaching. "Where there is a will, there is
a way," but there is a way that leads to destruction (Prov. 14:
12). There is no way to mock God (Gal. 6:7-10) and to evade
the judgment of God (Rom. 2:3). ---- Gilbert Alexander. </HTML>
