Shall We Dance?

Well now there’s dancing and then there’s dancing!
The Bible does not say "thou shalt not dance"
But the Bible does warn against lasciviousness
Which some dancing promotes so why take a chance?
The "works of the flesh" which can bar one from heaven
Are often time committed by dancing’s ungodly leaven 
The "unchaste handling" of those of the opposite sex
Causes lascivious thoughts when two bodies are mixed!
Then when you add the rhythm of drumbeats and such
Some folks go plumb crazy and begin to act like a nut
The allure for sex lies at the reason for much dancing
And it’s often with someone else’s mate they are prancing!
If someone turned off the soft music in the midst of the dance 
Leaving unmarried couples entwined as they continued to prance
A fist fight would break out shortly of this I have no slight doubt
You just don’t embrace in the manner of the dance another’s spouse!
Much dancing has the same appeal as petting in the car’s back seat
The sin is lasciviousness let me multiple times so clearly repeat
We are speaking of the kind of dancing that entices people to lust 
And lust like lasciviousness is a sin when committed by any of us!
