Another Saint Has Departed

Death has picked another rose 
From among the saints of God
For God’s bouquet in paradise
Who once among us did trod.
Virginia’s soul has now departed
Over there in Paradise she waits
For the Lord’s second coming
To swing wide the pearly gates!
She had obeyed His gospel message
Was baptized "for sins of the past."
And she served Him in faithfulness
For so long as earthly life did last
She left a good example behind
Of what true discipleship means
Now she’s comforted in Hades
Beyond even her wildest dreams!
Oh what a comfort to her family
Just to know she died "in Christ"
Where "all spiritual blessings" reside
Then finally a home in heaven at last!
