HOW IS UNITY POSSIBLE – Number - 11 
APPENDIX 1 {Glc} 
A major problem to unity of religious faith and practice today exist  because 
many unhappy and modern thinking women have decided that they want to  have 
the same places in the church that men have occupied. Indeed, God set men  in 
the church to exercise leadership; He did not place women in the church to  
have leadership roles. This arrangement that God has set for men and women in  
the church leadership does no damage to the male or to the female; both are  
acceptable to God and equal partners in salvation and rewards if they maintain  
their faith and good works throughout life; cf.  
BOTH  MALE AND FEMALE ARE EQUAL IN CHRIST --- Both  are saved from sin and 
will receive heaven at the end of a faithful life cf. Rev  2:10. Galatians 
3:27-28, “27 For  as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put  on Christ. 
28 There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor  free, 
there can be no male and female; for ye all are one (man) in Christ  Jesus.” ASV 
BOTH  MEN AND WOMEN RECEIVE SALVATION FROM SIN WHENEVER THEY COMPLY WITH THE 
LORD’S  CONDITIONS  ---Hebrews 5:8-9, “8  though he was a Son, yet learned 
obedience by the things which he suffered; 9  and having been made perfect, he 
became unto all  them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;”  ASV 
NOTE: 
Even though God has assigned men and women different roles in life  
[Husband-wife; father-mother]; God has also assigned them differing roles in the  
church. Both roles for the man and the woman are honorable and acceptable to  God. 
There need be no division over gender roles in the church; the problem is  
with people who are dissatisfied with God’s way and have a desire to change  God’
s standards. This concept will never lead to unity of faith and practice; it  
will lead only to more division and schism for honorable religious  
adherents.
