Don Martin with information about our updates to our Websites:

I trust all are doing well and enjoying this holiday season.

I am pleased to announce the publication of, "I Corinthians 11: 20-22, 33,
34, What Were They Doing?" to www.bibletruths.net There is a dire need for
detail study of the text mentioned in the title. I know the material shall
be considered "controversial," but as announced from the inception, Bible
Truths attempts to present the truth on all issues and subjects;
notwithstanding the manifest degree of difficulty or controversy. One
growing issue that continues to divide churches today is the so called
"second serving of the Lord's Supper." This material examine one key verse
that is used by the proponents of, "It is a sin to provide the Lord's Supper
Sunday evening...." To read the material in full (see below excerpt), when
on the home page of Bible Truths, enter through the door and click on
"Current Truth" in the directory. All referenced material is also
permanently located in the Archives. To check out the vast archives, when
on the Site Map page, click on "Archives and Index."

"In the above alluded to passage and verses, many see all manner of
things. Some see authority for the social gospel, turning the church that is
essentially spiritual in its work and mission into a feeding and socially
placating machine (cp. I Tim. 3: 15). Still others are presently using these
verses as authority for their teaching that the Lord's Supper begins with a
common meal, consisting of customary food that some how and at some point
turns into the Lord's Supper. A number of conservative Christians do not
elect to even consider the happening at Corinth, not understanding it and
being afraid of what they might have to admit. Some are now using I
Corinthians 11: 33 to bind "strict" simultaneous action in the observance of
the Lord's Supper, insisting that for a church to offer the Supper at the
time of a second meeting but not requiring that all partake (those who
partook at an earlier meeting), is sin....."

The new Featured Question for www.biblequestions.org is, "What are some
Messianic prophecies?" (Below.) Tell another of our service of answering
Bible questions they might wish to submit to us. To ask a question, when on
the home page, click on the "Ask a question" button and follow the
instructions.

Question: What are some Messianic prophecies?

Answer: Prophecy is one of the proofs of the divine inspiration of the
scriptures (Deut. 18: 18-22, 2 Tim. 3: 16, 17). The Greek word propheteia
(prophecy) "Signifies the speaking forth of the mind and counsel of God
(pro, forth, phemi, to speak.)" (Expository Dictionary of New Testament
Words). "Messianic" pertains to the Messiah, Jesus Christ (Jn. 1: 41, 4:
25).

Prophecies regarding Jesus' birth. About 800 years prior to the
Messiah's birth, it was prophesied that he would be born in Bethlehem (Micah
5: 2). Jesus was born in the small town of Bethlehem (Matt. 2: 1-6). Another
unusual prophecy was that the Messiah would be born of a virgin and would be
Immanuel or God with us (Isa. 7: 14). This prophecy was fulfilled in Jesus
(Matt. 1: 20-25).

Prophecies regarding the life of the Messiah. It was prophesied that one
would precede Jesus to announce him (Isa. 40: 3, Mal. 3: 1). The trailblazer
was John the Baptist (Matt. 3: 1-3). Jesus was to be anointed with the Holy
Spirit and he was (Isa. 42: 1, Matt. 3: 16, 17). Isaiah prophesied that the
Messiah would be despised and rejected and Jesus was (Isa. 53: 3, Jn. 1:
11). Even though rejected of men, it was prophesied that God would be with
him (Isa. 42: 1, Acts 10: 38).

Prophecies concerning the Messiah's betrayal, trials, crucifixion, and
resurrection. Matthew 27 contains a running commentary, if you will, of
numerous prophecies regarding Jesus' betrayal, trials, and crucifixion
(Matt. 27: 9; 14; 34, 35). Approximately sixteen prophecies were fulfilled
in a 24-hour period. The climax being Jesus' resurrection from the grave
(Ps. 16: 10, Jn. 20: 8, 9).

About 332 Messianic prophecies were fulfilled in the person of Jesus.
Some one has calculated that the odds are 1 in 84x10 to the 123rd power of
these minute and unusual prophecies being fulfilled, humanly viewed.

Cordially,
