It Takes Jesus’ Blood

It takes Jesus’ blood to wash away sins
Not just any blood need I say my friend
Jesus the Son of God lived a perfect life
Only His blood, can pay sin’s awful price.
Although Jesus "tasted death for every man"
Man too must play a part in God’s salvation plan
He must believe, repent, confess and be baptized
For the Scriptural reasons to receive God’s prize.
"Baptism into Christ’s death" is our Lord’s design
That’s where He shed His blood for all of mankind
If you believe in Jesus why not turn from your sins
Go down into the "watery grave" arise a brand new man
This will make you a Christian and that’s quite enough
None of this "join the church of your choice" and such
That which makes a Christian makes a church member too
They’re not two different actions, if to Christ you’re true
(Matt. 28:18-20; Matt. 26:28; Heb. 9:22; 1 Pet. 2:21-25;
2 Cor. 5:17-21; Heb. 2:9; Jno 3:16; Rom. 5:6-10; Rom.
6:3-6; 6:16-18; Gal. 3:26-29; Acts 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:20-22).
