Living The "Golden Rule"

Just imagine what this world would be like
If we each followed the "Golden Rule"
Treating others like we wish to be treated
Would bring utopia on earth and that’s cool
Pure love would exist for one another
No lying nor deceit would be known
We don’t wish to be deceived or lied to
It would bring these traits to our homes
Brethren would be kind to one another
Confusion and strife would’t be known
If we only did what we want done to us
In the church in business and in our homes
But alas Satan influences even Christians
And the "Golden Rule" is then set aside
Doing the will of the "god of this age"
Sometimes we fuss, we fume, we deride
True Christians are more givers than takers
Doing what this "Golden Rule" suggest
You see why Matt. 7:12 is called "Golden"
It is just because it’s life lived at its best!
There is no more abuse of little children
There is nothing known as spousal unrest
There is no stealing what belongs to others
We’d all give what we want and that’s best.
(Matt. 7:12; Eph. 4:22-32; Rom. 14:19;
2 Cor. 4:4; James 3:1-18; 1 Peter 2:21-23).
