[Biblemat] Deacons without elders

Brother Mance and list members,
 
   I used Acts 6:1-6 as a case in point due to the fact that the apostles
served in an oversight capacity over all the churches as Paul indicated in 
2 Cor. 11:28.  It isn't until Acts chapter fifteen that we read of elders in
the Jerusalem church Acts 15:4. When they were appointed we are not told
insofar as I know. Deacons without elders today since we have no living
apostles as overseers would be a mistake in my estimation.
