Brethren and Friends, Jim Sasser here. A very good Tuesday
morning to each and everyone. May God bless you and yours.
Here is an article from my files:

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

We have a lot of people who look tous as examples, but we should never
forget about our children, who are the close-
st ones to which we are an example. Jesus said, "Let your
light so shine before men, that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 5:16). From today onward,
think what happens when you are not
looking. To help you, consider what happens from the stand-
point of a child:

When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a pray-
er, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I
     learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal
and take it to someone who was sick, and I learned that
we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your
time and money to help people who had nothing and I
learned that those who have something should give to
     those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of
our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take
care of what God has given us.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you hand-
led your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good
and I learned that I have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you though I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's
lessons that I need to know to be a good and fruitful Chris-
     tian when I grow up.

Eph. 5:8 says, "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now
are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light." We can
never forget the smallest ones among us whho see our influ-
ence. Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, church
member, teacher, or friend) influences the life of a child. How
will you influence one today? ------ Kyle Campbell in Truth
