[Biblemat] Question?

Hi Fellow listers

I have a question regarding Peter opening the gates to the kingdom.

I have always believed and still do believe that the kingdom was opened to the Jew first and then to the Greek, as Paul taught in Romans. In relation to that teaching Acts 2 opened the kingdom/church to the Jews on the day of Pentecost. Then in Acts 10 the kingdom/church was opened to the Greeks/Gentiles with the baptism of Cornelius.

However, in my studies, I realized that of the seven men chosen to serve in Acts chapter 6... Nicolas was a proselyte. Does that not mean that in fact he was not born a Jew? Even though he had undergone the process of converting to Judeaism, proselytes still did not have the full status as on born a Jew.

I also realize that Acts 11:1 speaks to the fact that the baptism of Cornelius did indeed mark the presentation of the gospel to the Gentiles.

Does anyone out there have any thoughts on this subject?
