"What Does Your Church Teach?"

I am often asked the above question;
Just how shall I attempt to make a reply?
First the church doesn’t originate doctrine;
It simply holds the revealed truths up high!
The apostles were guided into "all truth;"
Just as Jesus promised them He would do;
"All things pertaining to life and godliness;"
Came from their "Spirit led" pens it’s true!
Denominations each have their "Creed";
Such is their peculiar doctrinal stance;
Each "Creed" differs from all the others’
Although each claims for truth to stand.
They all contradict the Bible’s teaching;
For they were written by uninspired men;
Creeds aren’t the standard for judgment;
The words of Jesus will be used then!
There can never be unity as Christ prayed;
As long as the doctrines of men are around;
"For God is not the author of confusion;"
And confusion due to man’s doctrines abound!
The faith was "once delivered" to the saints;
In the New Testament Christ’s will is found;
To not abide in Christ’s doctrine in all things;
Is only to find one’s self not heaven bound!

Eph. 4:1-6 ;Jn. 12:48; Rev. 20:12-15; 1 Cor. 14:33;
Jn. 17:17, 20-21; Jude 1:3; Rom. 16:16-18; 2 John 9-11).
