The Importance of A Name

Many things are taught & claimed in religion;
About which none will consistently follow through;
They try and tell us "there’s nothing in a name;"
Then sign another’s name on a check it that’s true!
 
When there’s born a beautiful baby girl let’s say;
That you maintain this claim, and follow through;
Will you name that beautiful little girl Jezebel?
There would be no problem if your claim is true!
 
Christ chose a "New Name" for His followers,
After Kings & Gentiles had seen His glory;
You can’t say it without saying "Christ";
Who’s the central theme of the gospel story.
 
Yes, that brand new name is "Christian";
Now will you listen to Peter’s simple claim?
Peter said "there is no salvation from sins;
For people who wear any other name!"
 
Please read the Scriptures to follow;
See if I am teaching true to the book!

So please turn to your Bible and look!
