The Value of True Blue Friends

There are several different kinds of friends
I can truly say that I value them every one
But the ones I can honestly call "true blue"
I appreciate the most when the day is done
He’ll be honest with me even if it hurts
He’ll not coddle me when I am wrong
He knows what true friendship means
It’s much more than just getting along
A "true blue" friend is like agape’ love
He always has your best interest in mind
A true friend tells you what you need to hear
To your few or many faults he is not blind
One may have a list of "friends" no doubt
But the "true blue" brand is quite rare
They are the ones you can always rely upon
Even when needed at the midnight hour!
To have "true blue" friends I must be one
"A friend who sticks closer than a brother"
I have several who say they are my friends
But I cherish the "true blue"above all others!
(Prov. 18:24; Jno. 15:13-14; Rom. 5:6-8)
