"Cleansed From All Past Sins"

"Cleansed from all past sins" O how great
Once I was lost in sin once I was a reprobate
Thank God I am now cleansed in Jesus’ blood
And soon by His grace I’ll live with Him above!
"No silk purse made from a sow’s ear" they say
O but Christ made me a "new creature"one day
It was the day I believed and repented you see
Then upon confession was baptized to be free!
He counted me among the saved that day and so
I was "added to His church" as others long ago
"Born of water and Spirit" kingdom citizens we
Yes, He can do for you just what He did for me!
A new name let me tell you He also gave to me 
On that wonderful day of my full conversion
The new name is "Christian" don’t you see
Too the privilege of prayer was also given me!
